WWE Monday Night Raw Review (12/22/25): The End of The Judgment Day? + Dom’s AAA Betrayal

Everyone is saying Dominique Mysterio got betrayed by El Grande Americano but if you look closer he is the one that turned 1st and that should scare you so welcome. Welcome. My name is Ryder Maven. I am the host of the Wrestling Receipts podcast. I cover all things Judgment day, Dom, Liv, Raquel, Finn, JD, Roxanne, Por, Carlito and El Grande Americano and most Americanos. This raw review is entitled to Judgment Day is just fine. Is this the beginning of the end of Liv, Raquel and Roxanne? Today on the Wrestling Sees podcast, we are breaking down why Dom's character has officially shifted. Why Roxanne Perez claiming they are best buddies is a major red flag.

1:06 And we're reviewing this taped edition of Monday Night Raw, so let's get into it, shall we? Now this is the brief AAA to Tatana's recap. I'm just going to recap the main event between Los Gringos Locos 2 point O which is Dom and El Grande Americano versus the Rays of Ray Phoenix and Rey Mysterio. This match has big match feel and the finish came when the Rays win when Penta uses El Grande Americano's loaded disc against Dom and the aftermatch which is important though Dom showed El Grande Americano post and left him in the ring and then El Grande Americano then shake shook hands with Rey Mysterio. Now here is my hot take because I have been seeing this all over the please try again.

1:57 I've been seeing this all over TikTok and social. Don't let Twitter or social media frame this as Dom being betrayed. He was not betrayed, he was the one that betrayed first. Dom showed El Grande Americano first and this is like the only time or maybe a second time that El Grande has failed Dom. But El Grande is was gaining nothing and Dom losing here. Plus in this relationship it we did not see what El Grande Americano gets to gain from having a relationship from Dom. So it's just really interesting to see this whiplash of people getting on El Grande Americano saying he was too slow even though he was waiting for Pinto because Pinto was taking his sweet ass time to get out there.

2:51 People are saying like he was teaching and shaking people's hands during the match while and that's why Dom to be pissed even though that's what happens during the match is like wrestlers will lay on the ground for a while until they get to the next spot or the next sequence in the match. It was just mind boggling to me to see how people switch and especially when people were saying oh you know, El Grande can replacement velour now. Finn is one that was deliberate with his slowness with Dom. Like we actually saw that at triple, not triple mania. We saw that at Worlds Collide, so with El Grande, this shows a major shift in Dom's character because unlike the situation Dom has within Ria and Damian, El Carne Americano didn't actually do anything to Dom intentionally. Was he slow with the loaded disc? Yeah.

3:43 But did he intentionally cost Dom the match that he intentionally, you know, 'cause Dom to, you know, lose the match? No, he was just slow about it and that's the only thing he did. Now, you can always say that he was, oh, he touched the belt, but again, everybody touches that damn belt. So, you know, it's still a sequence of El Grande did nothing to Dom. And the reason why this is a big shift because Dom no longer has a reason to turn. You remember how the the character trait of Dom is that he always needs a reason to betray somebody or turn on somebody. Now that's gone.

4:26 He always had a reason with Ray. He always had a reason with Edge. He always had a reason with Ria. He already had a reason with Damian, and he had a reason with Finn. But with El Grande Americano, there is no reason. And if I'm a live fan, I would be shaking in my boots right now. Why? Because they think this is Liv and Dom versus the world because Dom is shoving everything their way. But this only just proves that when the going gets tough and Dom is not happy, he will turn on you. Now he doesn't need a reason to turn. So what happens if Liv starts being useful to Dom? See what I mean? This is a major shift and I'll be really really concerned about this in the future. But when it comes to Dom and Liv. Because it's like a people said, Dom has no reason to cheat on Liv.

5:15 Well, there you go. Now he doesn't need a reason and that signals a major character shift and change with Dom. We have to see if this comes out more in the future, and I'm betting it does because now they tested that out in Mexico. But the positives over here is that El Gani Americano now is now a babyface in triple Mania, not triple mania in AAA. And he will possibly face Dom for that mega championship down the line. Next up we have the Roxanne Perez interview. Roxanne made some very specific comments regarding her relationship with Dom. She claims they are best buddies, insisted she'll never get in the way of him and Liv, and play dumb regarding the rumors. Now let's break this down, shall we? A lot of people wanted to throw this interview in my face saying that you know Rockstar won't happen, but I took some very interesting takes regarding this. First, best buddies.

6:18 Roxanne said Dom and she and Dom are best buddies. Since when? When did they become best buddies? And if they are best buddies does not doesn't it refute people saying that Dom ignores Roxanne? So where did the buddiness come from? And if you're best buddies, Don won't, you wouldn't be ignoring your friend. And also this kind of also spins up that theory I had a long time ago that maybe they had a fling in NXT. Maybe that's coming back around. I don't know. But again, that's something to think about. Why all of a sudden are they're your best buddies? And another thing this brings up the just friends trope.

6:59 This is a riding trope and writing saying that you're just friends. It's just a classic trope before an affair storyline starts. So, oh, I'm just, you know, we're just friends. Yeah, you know, that is is a classic trope and I'd be concerned about that too. Also, subtext matters. dot Roxanne is not going to outright say and say in an interview that she's going to be stealing Dom or doing this. I mean, I'm not sure why everybody now is believing Roxanne on this. Because wrestlers lie. Just because she says she wasn't, she won't get in the way of Dom and Lib does not mean she'll honor it. Because remember, last year Dom lied his ass off all the way until Summer Slam regarding Lib.

7:46 So just because Roxanne says nothing has happened doesn't mean that Rockstar won't happen. And again, I am not saying that any kind of genie was happened. I'm just putting it out there that, hey, wrestlers lie and I just find it really humorous that people all of a sudden are taking Roxanne at face value, but they won't take what Dom said at face value when he said that Dom was better. I mean, when Dom said Liv was better than Rhea, See what I mean? So you know you're going to take Roxanne at face value. They ain't got to be taking Dom as face value when he said Dom that Liv was better than Rhea 'cause it doesn't get any more blatant than that. But yes, and Senor does bring up what about Dom's injury. I am not going to really reference the injury because we don't know.

8:30 I know Meltzer and Alvarez has said something but the last time Meltzer said anything about Dom's injury last year, he ended up with a huge egg on his face. So I am not going to believe much regarding any kind of injury until we get something from Chandra Sapp and PWI Insider. Now, I always say take the dirt teeth with a with a huge grain of salt, but those are more accurate than not. And I would tend to believe that a little bit more than over Dave Meltzer. I know Dave Meltzer has gotten some things right now, but for a while he was striking out. So I'm not really believing on Dave Meltzer just yet.

9:11 Is it possible that Dom is banged up? Yeah. Is it possible he's injured? Yeah, but we don't know the severity if that's there's a lot of people are saying that he was acting just fine after the show and maybe he was just covering it well. So, you know, people wouldn't be concerned about it. I don't know. But I'm not going to comment too much on the injury just yet because we don't know. All we can do is just hope for the best is hope that he's only banged up, if that and that you know, this time right now will allow him some time to heal up where cuz he's not really needed in the judgment day storyline right now in the 1st place. And and that's all we've heard right now. They saying like he would get evaluated today or something like that. But we haven't heard hide nor hair about anything right now today other than from Alvarez and Meltzers. And again, I take I don't really believe them when it comes to things like this because they've been proven wrong too many times.

10:06 Let's go ahead and get into the Monday night Rawls pre review, shall we? We had the judgment day walk in. We have the visual of Dom physically positioned between Liv and Roxanne and they're chatting and Dom is chatting with Roxanne Case. People want to deny that again and they're just they're just talking back and forth. Also note Finn and Raquel are in the back. This visually confirms their current placement or like they're of within the judgment day hierarchy. So you have Dom, Lib and Roxanne in the front and Raquel and Finn in the back. Nothing much said on this. It's just that it's just really striking how things are separating right now as relates to the judgment day hierarchy.

10:50 Next we have Stephanie McCarron and scrap daddy Adam Pierce. Pierce asked Stephanie what she wants to do regarding Raquel and Nikki Bella. Stephanie demands a triple dirt match and the match is pretty much made. So we will have Stephanie Brakira versus Nikki Bella versus Raquel Rodriguez next week for the World Woman's World Championship in a triple threat match. My only note on this is that can the WWE please update Raquel's render and these match graphics? It's overdue. It's using that old, that old one. It's not her best look. She's got has much better renders now pictures wise and I'm not sure why they keep using that old entire render for Raquel.

11:31 That's not really fair to her for that render. Then next we have Roxanne versus Bailey. The match is just great. I love how Roxanne works a body part and here she was working Bailey's leg and knees. So she will, she will just pinpoint a body part and she'll just work it. I, I love it when Roxanne's visually together look great. They're really striking. I like the parrot even though you know I I gripe about stuff but aesthetic wise liver Roxanne look great together. The chaos comes is when Raquel comes out to help quote UN quote but gets thwarted by Lyra and then Lyra stays the day by taking care of Lyra by tossing her over the table.

12:21 The finish comes when Liv distracts the ref. Roxanne exposes the turnbuckle and sends Bailey's head first into it. Roxanne has the match one until Raquel. This unspeakably gets up on the apron and distracts the ref. Liv pulls Raquel off off off the apron and they're arguing. Roxanne is confused as fuck, like what are you doing? Lyra reappears on the announce paper. Wipe them by both out by doing a crossbody on them. She then goes over there, slaps Bailey. Bailey, you know, switches her personality again and then Bailey just takes Roxanne Pillar to pose and then hits a flying elbow for the win.

13:06 Now, my notes on this, Raquel popping out out of nowhere with just awkward, like, where does she come from? I know this was tape. I think this was this should have been done a little bit better. Like we should have saw her walking down the aisle, coming through the crowd, something she just kind of randomly pops up. How come you can't you can't excuse Raquel costing Roxanne the match when she had it one. You cannot. People are getting on me for saying, well, are you going to talk about Raquel, you know, costing Roxanne the match? And I was like, I haven't seen it yet. But here now I can't excuse it. And why would I excuse it if I'm going to rap Dom's knuckles about what he did to El Grande? I got to rap Raquel's knuckles. That was uncalled for.

13:48 Why is she getting up on the apron? You know, Roxanne had it one, she could have just stayed on the ground, let Roxanne win, and then if he wanted to argue with Roxanne and Liv about things later like we see in the judge clubhouse later, then she should have. I think this kind of mirrors what happened months ago when Liv had the match one, because Roxanne helped her out and then Roxanne did that again. So maybe this is mirroring what happened there as well. It's pretty interesting. For that note, we have to wonder if this was jealousy. Was Raquel trying to help or was she jealous that Liz interference was actually working for Roxanne? Was she is she jealous that Roxanne and Lib are getting closer and kind of she's kind of getting frozen out.

14:33 These are these are some things that we should have gotten some beats on at least in the clubhouse. But then you and then poor Roxanne takes another loss. I know this is for the storyline, but still she needs to start getting some wins. I don't like her losing and that's one thing I will agree with that Roxanne's fan is like it's storyline wise. But I don't really like her taking all these losses even though she won last week. Now we shift into the desert, a clubhouse. Dom and Finn are on the PlayStation 5. Finn looks like he's facing Brown Breaker. But now it was corrected to say that's Chad Gable which is really interesting. The women in her and arguing Dom and fan are trying to calm them down.

15:14 Roxanne says that she and Liv had the match one until Roxanne Raquel showed up. Raquel claims that she was just trying to get help and points out just what they didn't help her last week against Nikki. But instead we were just trying to do what you ask. We help each other because that's what families do. Which felt sarcastic as hell. The split comes is where Raquel says that she doesn't need this, she has a title master prep for and walks out. Now what I think here is that we really needed a segment before the Roxanne and Bailey match to explain why Raquel popped up because it just felt so random. Raquel is being a huge hypocrite. She literally told him that she wanted to handle things on her home last week and Nikki came out and gave her that big egg, egg on her head.

16:05 So she's being a hypocrite here. You mean you said you wanted to do 1 on your own? They did let you be on your own and you got your bell rung because of that. You know spade's a spade here. Raquel is focusing on the gold, the women's title gold at least, and it's pushing everyone everyone away and in doing so, she is lightly turned Roxanne completely against her and Liv has now pulled Roxanne onto her side just because Liv was actually helping Roxanne to win the match until Rox Raquel showed up. I'm going to get into this a little bit deeper later, but I'm going to do my raw quick hit sports and then I'm going to circle back around. So while Quick Kick raw, Quick Hit is after defeating Rhea via distraction, Roll up after Kyrie attacked, yells injured Bat and Ria went to check on her, Becky and Max Anne they came to bows. During their promo, Maxine made Becky tap out to the Ankle lock and they will have a match for Intercontinental Championship on the first Raw of the year.

17:14 In 2026, Javon Evans beat Rio Americano and he is now a free agent on the main roster. Nikki Bella promo. This is what a real promo real champion looks like. She insulted the crowd, it's just your basic heel promo, yada yada yada. Dr. got booed out of the building and that's all I can say about that. And then he did talk to Uncle Al and AJ Styles again. Austin Theory and Bronson Reed defeated Rey Mysterio and CM Punk. Awesome. Theory is looking like he's fresh out of prison and now he has converted and now looks like a Messiah as well. And here are my final thoughts RAW. The setup was awkward tonight, but the goal was clear.

17:55 The WWE wants animosity built between Raquel, Roxanne and Leah. They might be speed running things a bit and I think we could have, they could have set it up better, but we know what the end game was. They wanted that animosity to build up. By costing Roxanne the match, Raquel has pushed Roxanne away and live with being smart. She's pulling Roxanne to her side by pretending to help Roxanne. Well, not really pretending to help Roxanne, but she's helping Roxanne in spite of Raquel. Prediction next week is the triple threat. So what I really want to happen is that Raquel wins, but only due to live trying to purpose kind of accidentally on purpose cost Raquel the match.

18:43 Like live Roxanne are kind of trying to do that, but Raquel ends up winning the match anyway. It could end up where Stephanie wins or even Nikki wins. But I think it would be better if we go into that triple threat match where Raquel is in a situation maybe like how they did with Izzy Dame and Tatum Paxley from MXT at what? Was it not Halloween Havoc? Yeah, it was Halloween Havoc. So like Izzy Dane went to hit Tatum, but it ended up hitting Jaycee Jane. Maybe we can do something like that. Like Liv goes to hit Raquel, but she ends up it hitting like Nikki, like save Stephanie so she doesn't get pinned. She, Liv ends up hitting Nikki, Nikki down and out. And then this is where Raquel can capitalize, do a Tejano bomb or whatever, pin Nikki 123.

19:39 That way you have Raquel as the champion. And then going into next year, you can have Liv enter the Royal Rumble, win the Royal Rumble, and then Liv can select Raquel as the person that she wants to face. And then that's when Liv and Roxanne boot Raquel from the Judgment Day. And that's my little prediction on that. That's what I think would do better. Right now, just having Raquel lose right here I don't think really helps the storyline. I mean, yeah, you can eject Raquel out of Desert Day here and you could have it where Raquel is ejected and then lives in the match and then Raquel comes back and then cost live again. But I don't think I would want that for Liv if, you know, she's in the moral rumble.

20:27 Like if she's in the moral rumble, let her just go on and win it by now. And and then I don't really want Nikki to win that either. Like, she's like, I don't know. Nikki, I don't think needs to be anywhere near a title right now. Maybe I see. But I don't really think she needs to be near a title. And that was raw, like I said. Yeah. I mean, we're going into judgment day is crumbling and we have Dom and finish things on pause right now. It is all close to seven women. We will see what happens next week with this title match and like I said, I hope Raquel went it and that is Raw.
